What a trifecta! Plus ‘stubbornness = iniquity’!
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
1 Samuel 15:23 KJV
Rebellion, witchcraft, stubbornness, iniquity, idolatry. Wow!
I know of no other verse in the Bible that states so clearly what what God considers bad leadership. Stubbornly ignoring God’s plans for office is the surest way to turn up the torment eternally. Per the law of sowing and reaping, the seed of unnecessary suffering caused people under a bad leader is later reaped by the bad leader, should he of she choose not to repent. The reaping might be 30, 60 or 100 fold the bad seed sown!
(I had to do a lot of deep thinking when I was a hired killer.)
God wants all bad leaders to repent while they’re still breathing.
“Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?”
Ezekiel 18:23 NIV
If they choose eternal destruction, I think it might be funny.
