Grandma and the 23rd Psalm

These days I spend considerable time thinking about the world to come.

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
Colossians 3:1-4 ESV

I’m looking forward to seeing people who have gone on before. Today I remembered something I haven’t thought about for a long time. I suppose I was about 12 years old, spending time with my paternal grandparents and my uncle on their western South Dakota, USA, ranch. During devotions after a meal, we recited the “Shepherd’s Psalm,” the 23rd Psalm. Grandma had her eyes closed, her head bowed, and her hands folded, and she led the other three of us, Grandpa, my uncle and me. We three sometimes were not sure what phrase came next, but after she started it we caught up quickly. 🙂

It is an interesting memory that makes me smile, and it’s a great excuse to post this photo series again, which I don’t think enough people have seen. 😉

Are you following God's plan for your life?
   You should.
      Your plan sucks.
      It really, really sucks.
      Suckage Maximus.

Most people are WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!

Jesus is coming.
Are you ready to meet Him?
Give your life to Jesus Christ.
   Time is running out.
