I worked with computers for 30 years, and I learned the value of backing up my data. Equipment will fail and people will press the wrong buttons. From time to time you will have to get data back from backup. There are Bible verses about being prepared. Here is one.
A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself,
But the simple pass on and are punished.
Proverbs 22:3 NKJV
I recently tried to restore my 300,000+ photos because of a situation, and I discovered I had not backed all of them up. I had started to reorganize them but forgot that when I made the backup. I’m not too concerned because I believe the missing photos are on other backups. But I was a little annoyed at myself for not testing my backup to make sure it had everything I thought it should have.
If you have data on electronic devices you don’t want to lose, backup that data! Then, make sure you can actually recover that data. Do as I say, and not as I did in this case. 🙂
Jesus is coming soon. Be ready!
32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”
Matthew 24:32-35 NKJV
34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Luke 21:34-36 NKJV
