4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 1 Thessalonians 5:4-6 NKJV
32 “Now learnthis parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.33 So you also, when you see all these things, knowthatit is near—at the doors!34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” Matthew 24:32-35 NKJV
34 “Buttake heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down withcarousing, drunkenness, andcares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, andpray always that you maybe countedworthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, andto stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:34-36 NKJV
9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. Romans 10:9-10 NLT

“Now when these things begin to occur, stand tall and lift up your heads [in joy], because [suffering ends as] your redemption is drawing near.” Luke 21:28 AMP
37 “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.42 Watch therefore, for you do not know whathour your Lord is coming.43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known whathour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” Matthew 24:37-44 NKJV
26 “And as itwas in thedays ofNoah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until theday that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Manis revealed.
31 “In that day, hewho is on the housetop, and hisgoods arein the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back.32 Remember Lot’s wife.33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.34 I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left.35 Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left.36 Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.” Luke 17:26-36 NKJV
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
55 “ODeath, whereisyour sting? O Hades, whereisyour victory?”
56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:50-57 NKJV
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.18 Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 NKJV
25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.27 Then they will see the Son of Mancoming in a cloud with power and great glory.28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, becauseyour redemption draws near.” Luke 21:25-28 NKJV
Jesus is coming very soon. Be ready!

Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. Proverbs 3:7 ESV
I have been a follower of Jesus for over 40 years, and I am very glad for all the Bible knowledge I have gained. But when I read Proverbs chapter 3 on the third of each month verse 7 above reminds me to stay humble. Thinking that one “knows it all” is dangerous because you don’t listen to valid counsel.
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice. Proverbs 12:15 ESV
Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. Proverbs 26:12 ESV
Paul repeats the instruction.
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Romans 12:16 ESV
Every day I read the chapter of Proverbs corresponding to the day of the month. I highly recommend this habit!
5 Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance, 6 to understand a proverb and a saying, the words of the wise and their riddles. Proverbs 1:5-6 ESV
Jesus is coming very, very soon. Be ready!

15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. Romans 8:15-19 ESV

“I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God.” Luke 12:8 NIV
The verse above made me smile on the inside back in November 2022. The testimony to my heart was that God was pleased with my blogging. Almost all of my 2750+ posts at that time have the salvation message at the end. I am trusting Jesus for my eternal life!
The verse after is worth considering too.
8 “I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God. 9 But whoever disowns me before others will be disowned before the angels of God.” Luke 12:8-9 NIV
I want to be owned by God, not disowned!
A similar promise is found in the letter to Sardis.
“‘The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.‘” Revelation 3:5 ESV
I recalled this promise from Psalms 31 for those who publicly trust God.
19 Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men! 20 You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence From the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion From the strife of tongues. Psalms 31:19-20 NKJV
Now is not the time to be a “secret agent.” Jesus is the author and finisher of my faith!
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJV
Vindication is soon!
Vindicate me, O Lord, my God, according to your righteousness, and let them not rejoice over me! Psalms 35:24 ESV
Save me, O God, by Your name, And vindicate me by Your strength. Psalms 54:1 NKJV
For the Lord will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants. Psalms 135:14 ESV
Work and watch!
“We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.“ John 9:4 ESV
“And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!“ Mark 13:37 NKJV
Jesus is coming very soon. Be ready!
