A simple and effective plan for hearing His Words every day is to – every day – read the chapter of Proverbs that matches the day of the month. Proverbs has 31 chapters, so if it is the 3rd of the month, read the 3rd chapter of Proverbs. If is is the 23rd of the month, read Proverbs 23. If you miss a day or two (or ten), forgive yourself and read the chapter of Proverbs for that day. Forget past failures and drive on!
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

In January 2019 I started reading the book of Psalms every month. I’m hooked. It is too beneficial a habit for me to stop. 🙂
You might try reading Psalms this month to find out how the discipline blesses you. Here is a plan I came up with to even out the amount to read each day. If you want to download the spreadsheet I used to come up with an even better plan see this post.
