The Scripture above is to me conclusive. There are people who will be raptured before the tribulation. What else could “I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth” and “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass” possibly mean?
For over 40 years I have known about the controversy of the timing of the rapture. By my own study and meditation I have become convinced that the Bible teaches that there are multiple raptures / gatherings, happening pre-, mid-, and at the end-of-tribulation. Please read this post for more.

Yes, Jesus wants us to correctly interpret our present time. One example is Jesus’ teaching that His coming would be like the days of Noah and the days of Lot. Life was fairly normal, and most people were completely surprised by the judgment.
37 “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.42 Watch therefore, for you do not know whathour your Lord is coming.43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known whathour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” Matthew 24:37-44 NKJV

I’m excited about the coming eclipse on April 8, 2024, though I’m not yet sure of its significance. None of the logos, the Bible passages relevant to the eclipse, have leapt in my heart to become rhema. Nonetheless I’m sure it means something! This evil world is running out of time!

I highly recommend you watch this half-hour video. Melissa covers what it really means to be saved and “counted worthy to escape all these things.” She also talks about the three raptures or gatherings. I have a slightly different understanding of the 2nd and 3rd gatherings but the differences are trivial compared to the importance of the message. In the Olivet Discourse Jesus describes the great tribulation as the worst time on planet earth.
21 “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.” Matthew 24:21-22 ESV
In verse 21 the Strong’s numbers for great tribulation are G3173 and G2347.
18 “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: ‘The words of the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like burnished bronze.
19 “‘I know your works, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your latter works exceed the first.20 But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols.21 I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality.22 Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works,23 and I will strike her children dead. In verse 22 the Strong’s numbers for great tribulation are also G3173 and G2347.
I don’t think Jesus misspoke when He said “great tribulation” in both the Matthew 24 and Revelation 2 passages. I think He said what He meant and meant what He said! Therefore I believe the Bible teaches that failure to repent means missing the pre-tribulation rapture, but you make up your own mind!
