“Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.” Daniel 12:3 NKJV
32 “Now learnthis parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.33 So you also, when you see all these things, knowthatit is near—at the doors!34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” Matthew 24:32-35 NKJV
34 “Buttake heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down withcarousing, drunkenness, andcares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, andpray always that you maybe countedworthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, andto stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:34-36 NKJV
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Psalms 91:2 NKJV
I begin most daily Bible study sessions with prayer, reading and praying Psalms 23, then reading and praying Psalms 91. Lately while praying Ps 91:2 I have noticed that trusting God is a choice.
Lord, You are my refuge and my fortress, You are my God, in You I will trust.
Understand these two passages from Proverbs.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV
He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, But whoever walks wisely will be delivered. Proverbs 28:26 NKJV
Choose to Trust God is a theme of the Psalms that I read the first day of each month, Psalms 1-7.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. Psalms 2:12 NKJV
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the Lord. Psalms 4:5 NKJV
11 But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. 12 For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield. Psalms 5:11-12 NKJV
O Lord my God, in You I put my trust; Save me from all those who persecute me; And deliver me, 2 Lest they tear me like a lion, Rending me in pieces, while there is none to deliver. Psalms 7:1-2 NKJV
Here are some related passages on photos.
Choose to trust God. And if you do not have a Bible reading plan, I highly recommend this one. 😊

I will carry you along and save you.” Isaiah 46:3-4 NLT
28 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 ESV
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; Psalms 130:5 ESV
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope. Psalms 130:5 NKJV
I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word. Psalms 130:5 NLT
The last part of Ps 130:5 “came alive” to me today – My hope is in God’s Word!
God cannot lie.
“God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?“ Numbers 23:19 ESV
So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. Hebrews 6:18 NLT
God’s Word will come to pass.
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.“ Matthew 24:35 ESV
Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.” Jeremiah 1:12 ESV
10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, 11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10-11 ESV
My hope is in God’s Word, which means God’s promises will come to pass. One of my favorite forgiveness promises is just before the clause that stood out to me today. 😊
3 If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? 4 But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared. Psalms 130:3-4 ESV
