Follow Jesus, Not Public Opinion

If thousands or millions of people believe something that isn’t true and insist you believe and act as they do, choose to fear God, to obey God, and not be afraid of them.

¹¹ For the Lord spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying:

¹² “Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,’
Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy,
Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.
¹³ The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow;
Let Him be your fear,
And let Him be your dread.
¹⁴ He will be as a sanctuary,
But a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense
To both the houses of Israel,
As a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
¹⁵ And many among them shall stumble;
They shall fall and be broken,
Be snared and taken.”
Isaiah 8:11-15 NKJV

But how can you tell the truth from lies? Compare the assertion with God’s Word. It is Truth.

“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”
John 17:17 NKJV

³¹ Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. ³² And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:31-32 NKJV

Fear and obey Him who determines where each one spends eternity.

⁴ “And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. ⁵ But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!”

The wicked don’t know, and they don’t know that they don’t know.

Are you thirsty?
