Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

Eagerly waiting or Waiting expectantly has been on my mind today. This is mostly a repost from April 6, 2022.
One of the words in the Bible translated wait is Strong’s Hebrew 6960. The Hebrew word includes a sense of eagerness, of being expectant.
This word stresses the straining of the mind in a certain direction with an expectant attitude . . . a forward look with assurance.

Faith as described in Hebrews 11 also includes being expectant, knowing absolutely that God will do what He said.
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

I coined a word for Strong’s H 6960, faith-wait, and plugged it into these three Scriptures. I’m blessed by the word substitution, and I hope you are too.
Faith-wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Faith-wait, I say, on the Lord!
