Jesus got through the crucifixion by focusing on His future joy.

We should imitate Jesus.

We can focus on our future joy to get us through whatever is happening. If this promise of being with Jesus forever isn’t a cause for joy, I don’t know what is.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. There is coming an eternity of joy and happiness.

Trials should be joy too, but I have to admit I’m not 100% on this aspect of joy yet…

We do have a very blessed hope, the appearing of Jesus.
